LxE ForTheUncool
Columbus, OH
Vada Mitchell, also know as LxE For The Uncool, is a brilliant emcee who was raised on the Northeast side of Columbus Ohio. LxE gravitated toward Hip Hop at a very early age, he would sneak out of bed to watch the late night showing of Yo! MTV Raps. You can hear the lithely influences (Nas, D.O.C, Cee Lo, & Grand Puba) when he displays his very unique voice & rhyme patterns, but they don’t overpower his own creativity. While playing High School and College basketball, LxE realized his overwhelming love for music. He soon decided to pursue his deeper passion which had taken a backseat during his teen years. LxE proves to be a true rhyme virtuoso with every verse and will continue to mesmerize anyone with ears for creative heartfelt music.
Interview:
TheOneMic: How did you get your name?
LxE: My real name is Vada. My little brother started calling me L.e when we were little…which has recently evolved to LxE (which is still pronounced l-e). The “For The Uncool” part was given by an artist by the name of Keturah Ariel…being positive seems to be “lame” in mainstream media today…so we say be “Uncool”.
TheOneMic: When did you start pursuing music as a career? What sacrifices have you had to make?
LxE: I have been rhyming since before everyone decided to do so. I have put my entire heart into my music.
TheOneMic: What / who are your influences?
LxE: My family. My friends. Nas.
TheOneMic: Do you do any other art besides music?
LxE: I am also a visual artist.
TheOneMic: What makes your sound different than the other artist?
LxE: Everyone is different to begin with…once we realize that, we will be in good shape for the shape that we are in. I am different for the simple fact that I already know I’m different than the next person.
TheOneMic: What does your family think about you being an artist?
LxE: My family supports me, and I love them.
TheOneMic: What are you listening to right now?
LxE: Ohio…the rest of the world is too.
TheOneMic: How has your life changed since you have been in the music game?
LxE: The Most High has given me the opportunity to learn a lot of lessons through music, and I am constantly growing everyday.
TheOneMic: Where do you see yourself in five months? five years?
LxE: Insha’Allah, I still will be growing and building with my friends, fans, and family.
